Pomegranate Society

The Pomegranate Society honors women making a commitment of $1,800 or more to the Annual Campaign in her name. The pomegranate pin is a symbol of a woman’s commitment to honor the mitzvot of tzedekah and gemilut chassidim, acts of righteousness and acts of loving kindness.

The pomegranate is one of the oldest symbols found in Jewish art and ritual. Members of the Pomegranate Society join over 7,000 other women across North America who share dedication to the Jewish world.

The pomegranate is said to contain 613 seeds, one for each of the mitzvot, or commandments, found in the Torah. By wearing the pomegranate pin, we are reminded of the Jewish lives we impact every day.
