With Rabbi Stephanie Alexander
Over the past two decades, the Reform Movement has produced a series of prayer books that offer theological diversity, gender inclusivity, and greater language accessibility. Their myriad of offerings make for varied and meaningful services – as well as potential headaches for service leaders, professional and lay alike. With the endless combination of prayers to choose from, how not to become overwhelmed? Using our most recent Shiva prayer book as our text, this workshop will guide each of us to better understand each of our prayer books as a source of both ancient and modern inspiration. Participants will also have the opportunity, if they choose, to join our team of lay leaders that might be called upon to lead Shiva services as needed within the congregation.
This program is in-person only.
