Jewish History Walking Tour with the Preservation Society of Charleston

10:00AM - 12:00PM

$ Cost $ 50.00

Charleston has long been known as the Holy City, in part due to the religious tolerance granted during the colonial period. Your guide, lifelong Charlestonian and esteemed local historian Harlan Greene, will summarize Charleston's Jewish History, its national and even international importance, and point out sites memorializing historic events and personages. The walking tour will incorporate select interiors at private residences along the way. Included in the ticket price is same-day admission to tour the Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim synagogue, the oldest synagogue in continual use in the USA and the birthplace of Reform Judaism in this hemisphere.
