In this year of so much loss – loss of lives, loss of livelihoods, loss of freedom of movement, massive food insecurity – there is a monthly requirement for most women that hasn’t been lost.  That’s the need for feminine hygiene products.

Think of all the women in shelters.  Think of all the young women in schools (physical and virtual) with limited ability to buy anything, let alone these essential products.  Think of all the women struggling just to put food on their tables. Now think about helping them.

Last year, the Charleston Chapter of Hadassah held a Period Party.  Collecting donations of sanitary napkins, panti-liners, tampons, and hypo-allergenic wipes, Hadassah teamed with the Homeless Period Project: Lowcountry and assembled hundreds of individual bags of sufficient products to last a week. These packets are donated to every school in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley county, as well as about 50 shelters, food banks, and Blessing Boxes across the Lowcountry.

Hadassah is doing it again this year.  Through the month of March 2021, please buy boxes of products (any size – but everything must be individually wrapped).  Drop them off at any of these locations. Please leave a note with your name so we can thank you.
